The Legendary Children

"The forest is a peculiar organism of unlimited kindness and benevolence that makes no demands for its sustenance and extends generously the products of its life and activity; it affords protection to all beings." - Buddhist Sutra

The Wyldewood has always been...
As the people were embraced by her shelter and care, they became one with her, bonding as a clan. They dedicate themselves to taking care of her, and she in turn protects and sustains them. Living in peace and harmony with the land and trees. Few venture into the wood for fear of the dark places within. The Scions have no such fear, being a part of the forest and friend to the trees.

"They are beautiful in their peace, they are wise in their silence.
They will stand after we are dust. They teach us, and we tend them."
- Galeain ip Altiem MacDunelmor

They became the children of legend...
The Wylde children are a people of heart and spirit. They live in laughter and joy, sharing freely with those who wander into their depths. Those who are harsh, cruel or unworthy do not remain in the Wyldewood for there is nothing for them there. Such selfishness finds no gain in the Wyldewood. The beauty is lost to the those who do not see, or whose spirit does not feel.

"It was not that the jagged precipices were lofty, that the encircling woods were the dimmest shade, or that the waters were profoundly deep; but that over all, rocks, wood, and water, brooded the spirit of repose, and the silent energy of nature stirred the soul to its inmost depths." - Thomas Cole

There is a healing to be found within the Wyldewood. The lessons learned among the Scions are nobility of spirit, generosity and kindness. Personal honour is vital to the Scions. That all life is sacred and should be protected. That their word is their bond, and their actions reflect the beliefs of the Wyldewood. To become a Scion, you become one of the clan. And will be welcomed and loved as family of the heart. Though a Scion may walk alone, they shall never be lonely for the clan is always there...

"If what I say resonates with you, it is merely because we are both branches on the same tree." - W.B. Yeats

As more and more beings stumbled into their wood, tales of the lives lived outside the Wyldewood, fractured the tranquility within...
The Legendary children now reach out to those around them to teach a better way...
Through their representives shall the "Scions of Wyldewood" reach out to embrace our world...

"The country where he lives
is haunted
by the ghost of an old forest.
In the cleared fields
where he gardens
and pastures his horses
it stood once,
and will return. There will be
a resurrection of the wild.
Already it stands in wait
at the pasture fences."

- Wendell Berry, Window Poems
